Review Summary

Our Final Verdict
We give Wildology dog food a rating of 4.1 out of 5 stars.

Wildology is a brand of pet food that aims to create a range of dog foods that only include wholesome and nutritional ingredients to benefit your dog’s overall health. The Wildology website states that one of the advantages of their dog foods is that they use antioxidants and nutrient-rich superfoods that support your dog’s immune system and entire bodily function.

Each dog food from this brand contains a special blend of probiotics to support your dog’s gut health and the brand is manufactured by Diamond Pet Foods which also produces other popular dog food brands. They have nine dog food recipes in total with recipes for puppies, adults, and senior dogs. Some of their recipes are breed-specific and better suited for small dog breeds. However, all of this brand’s dog food recipes contain similar ingredients designed to keep your dog active.

Who Makes Wildology Dog Food and Where Is It Produced?

Wildology is owned by Midco Distributing LLC and the products are made by the Diamond Pet Food manufacturers. There is not much known about the origins of this brand or where the dog food ingredients are sourced from. However, since Diamond Pet Foods’ manufacturing facilities are located in the United States, this is likely where the Wildology foods are made.

Which Types of Dogs Is Wildology Best Suited For?

Wildology has dog food for all breeds and life stages, with some recipes being better suited for dogs that fall under the breed or dog life stage recommendations. They have a range of puppy, senior, and adult dog food, along with a specific range of dog food suitable for large and small dog breeds which is indicated on the food labeling. Since each of their dog food recipes is high in grains, this dog food brand is not suitable for dogs who require a grain-free diet or have digestive issues.

Discussion of the Primary Ingredients (Good and Bad)

Wildology features meat as the number one ingredient in all their dog food recipes, along with grains. The foods do contain preservatives but also include a variety of superfoods such as kale, chia seeds, pumpkin, blueberries, and papaya to support a dog’s immune system.

There are few controversial ingredients in the dog food recipes and not any potentially harmful ingredients. Overall, the ingredients look pretty average as a dog food and grains are plentiful in the ingredients listed. The dog food recipes have quite a lot of beneficial vitamins and minerals for dogs in the form of supplements.

    Recall History

Wildology is a new brand of dog food which is why it is recall-free. None of the Wildology pet foods have been recalled according to online databases which makes Wildology have a recall-free history. If you decide to purchase this food, it is important to keep up with any recalls from this brand because since it is relatively new, there is a possibility that some recalls will have to be made once the food gains popularity from online retailers.

    What Other Users Are Saying

There are no verified reviewers for this dog food because it is still new to the dog food industry, and it is not sold on large online retailers like Amazon yet.

The only reviews we could find for this dog food were from their official page on Facebook, where the comments in the brand’s review section were mainly positive, with very few negatives. The positive reviews had to do with how affordable this brand of dog food is and how much their dogs loved the smell and taste of the food.

    Conclusion

Wildology seems to be a standard dog food that is best known for its wide range of dog food recipes that are available as both wet and dry dog food. They are generally affordable and have recipes suitable for dogs of specific breeds and life stages. Since this food is not available in pet stores worldwide or from online retailers, it can be difficult to come across this food for your dog. More transparency with ingredient sources and location of manufacture would improve the rating.

The recipes are best suited for dogs that can handle eating grains and chicken and this brand has had no recalls so far which boosts the brand’s reputation. However, the parent brand Diamond Pet has had recalls over the last few years. If you are looking for affordable dog food that includes both wet and dry dog foods with probiotics and superfoods to benefit your dog, then Wildology may appeal to you.
